the guys (minus biggest brother who was hiding from the sun) have a chat on Cocoa Beach, Florida.
it’s been a while since I told the boys we need to spend our money on adventures and experiences instead of things. we did well with this, mostly. we went places. saw things. admired art and ran through parks. we bought some unnecessary things once in a while, too, but mostly we stuck to the plan. we tasted and tried and sniffed and experienced. and we continue to. for Christmas, we decided to stick to the plan and buy only gifts that would serve as hints to an upcoming spring break adventure. that adventure would take us on a road trip to Florida to experience the beach, scare ourselves on thrill rides, take a stroll down Diagon Alley and follow in the footsteps of those who reached for the stars at Kennedy Space Center. and it was awesome. I posted a while back about wanting and longing to get back to a beach with my kids. that finally happened this past week. and I am so grateful to everyone who helped make that happen. we had adventures. and the memories we made during those adventures will live in my heart forever.
